Happy Easter!

I've never done a big Easter egg hunt before but this year I thought the girls were at a perfect age to really enjoy one. Usually we take turns hiding empty eggs around the house for a week before (and after). I had a blast finding lots of fun Easter-y stuff to fill over 100 eggs with and hid them all over our yard. Here are the girls all ready to get searching!
I was surprised how fast they rounded up all those eggs. Next year I'll know to make finding them a little harder! ;) Since the weather was pretty nice, the girls played on the trampoline and had a blast!
Then we headed inside to color some eggs.
We all got in on the fun! ;)
Then next morning we woke up to find the Easter Bunny had made a stop at our house.
It might have been a little early for McKenzie!
For breakfast we went to Michelle & Brandon's house then we had another egg hunt.
More to add to their loot!
There were all sorts of goodies inside all those eggs.
There were even a few REAL eggs!
We had fun playing afterwards!
And decorated sugar cookies. Yum!
Happy Easter!

McKenzie gets her tonsils out.

Since Chad was laid off at the beginning of this month and we are unsure of what our insurance situation will be after the end of May we decided not to wait until summer for McKenzie to have her tonsils out. She did soooo good. She went right in and was so brave.
She was a little groggy afterwards and she hated the I.V. and kept trying to mess with it.
But when the anesthesia started wearing off she was back to her silly little self. She brought a Spot What book (like an I Spy) and she kept having all the nurses that came to check on her find random things in her book too.
Her favorite part was riding out in this cool chair!
A couple days after surgery her teacher came to visit and brought get well cards from all the kids in her class. It had been a rough day since it gets worse before it gets better and it totally made her day!

Baby Animal Days

Baby Animal Days is a favorite springtime activity around here. We look forward to it every year. This year was no different! The weather was horrible. It has snowed the day before and everything was a muddy mess. We got a wagon ride to the barn and there were very few animals, not a lot of space and lots of people considering the conditions, but we still had a great time. We even talked our friends Tiffany & Lilly into coming along.
