Memorial Day Camping

We went camping for Memorial Day weekend. The weekend started out great but Saturday night it poured rain and when the forecast said it was going to keep raining through Monday we went home. We did make the best of the time we had before the rain though! Brooklyn had fun playing with her buddy Kyson.
McKenzie helped Grandma Bobbi tend the fire to keep us warm.
And Dad and his friends had a blast with Marshmallow guns!

And a priceless picture of Brooklyn's morning camping hair! :)

Love Summertime!

We love summertime and all the fun it brings. We can wear flip flops to show off glitter toes.
And there's never a shortage of fun things to do. Gotta love a good parade!
They don't look like they're having fun at all do they?!?!?

So tired of cleaning!

Brooklyn was supposed to be putting away the Barbie stuff in her room. She's not a big fan of cleaning and after a few minutes I went to check on her progress and this is what I found!
Yes, she's really sleeping like that!

Brooklyn gets staples

Brooklyn fell off the swing set at Uncle Donald and Aunt Judy's house today and went to get up as it swung back and it hit her in the back of the head. We had to take her to the ER because the wound wouldn't stay closed and she got 3 staples in her head. What a way to start the summer!

Grandma turns 80!

My Grandma Jean turned 80 years old this year!
My Aunt Marcia and Uncle Chris threw a really neat party for her. My cousin Lauren put together these cute little boxes with little knick-knacks to represent all the things Grandma has done. My cousin Emily arranged all the flowers.
Grandma is an amazing seamstress and on display were some of the quilts she's made, clothes she has sewn for herself and others, paintings she had done and picture books of all the fun places she's traveled to.

This little pink quilt with ducks is Brooklyns.
Grandma and her 4 great-granddaughters.
Grandma and My Dad. (The bottom right quilt with the cats and dogs is McKenzie's)
