The Cutest Little Bugs!

McKenzie was a ladybug this year.
Brooklyn was a butterfly.
Since Halloween fell on Sunday this year we spent Saturday Trick-Or-Treating and Sunday we carved our pumpkins...
made little pumpkin pizzas for dinner...
and for dessert... pumpkin sugar cookies.

Monster Party!

I've been doing parties for Brooklyn's preschool this year. This year for Halloween we had a "Monster" themed party. I had so much fun planning the party and even got to teach her class for the day. Here are the "Monster Marshmallow" treats we made.
We made all kinds of silly Monster faces on felt boards.
We learned a silly song "If you're a Monster and you know it..." Here is Brooklyn "showing her claws"
And we colored our own little wooden monsters to take home.

Slipper Day!

McKenzie had "Slipper Day" at school. It's always fun for both girls to be able to dress up for silly days like this.

Summertime!

We did so many fun things this summer! We made a few trips to the park...
Kenzie is so proud that she can make it all the way across the monkey bars now...
We spent a lot of time riding bikes...
We were invited to a "Pool Party"
McKenzie learned how to draw and play hopscotch...
And both girls enjoyed helping out around the yard. They watered flowers...
and helped take care of the garden. McKenzie picked all this by herself!

A visit from the Tooth Fairy

McKenzie lost her first tooth!
She was a happy girl to see what the Tooth Fairy had left for her the next morning!

School Days

It seems crazy to me that both my girls are old enough to be in school now. McKenzie started 1st grade this year.
And Brooklyn is in preschool.
We've settled into the routine...Homework and all.

Last camping trip of the year already?

I think that every summer we're always shocked how fast it comes and goes. We are never quite ready for it to end. We spent Labor Day weekend camping this year. It was a great spot! We could ride 4 wheelers, the kids had plenty of room to roam and we were right next to the river. What a great way to spend the last official weekend of the summer!
