Camping trip!

So I'm a little late getting these posted but we went camping this weekend with our family and a lot of our friends. We went to Newton Dam and stayed Friday til Sunday. We did a little fishing, swimming, 4-wheeling, some of us went out on a friends boat, we played in the sand-and dirt and even flew a kite for a while. It was so much fun. We had our dog, Dazey and Troy had his dogs too, they were totally loving the water. Dazey won't fetch, but she kept pacing the shore and when waves would come in she'd bite at them, it was so funny!

We played in the water a little, all it took was a little stumble and getting their faces wet and both the girls were DONE!! Here they are drying on the beach after their stumbles.

Kiley and Kenzie after their boat ride.

Kiley, Kenzie & Brooklyn playing in the sand.

Davin eating dirt! What a bad boy, huh! :)

Poor Brookyln. She is so good at naptime and bedtime, we just put her in bed and she goes right to sleep. She just didn't know what to do to get herself to sleep, this was the only other way she would go to sleep.

I've posted more pictures from our camping trip on the Taylor Family website @ http://www.kstaylorfamily.blogspot.com/

So Kenzie will be going to preschool this fall and I've been trying to get her to spell and write her name, last night we finally mastered her spelling it aloud!

She got a jump rope for her birthday and she loves it but isn't so good at it yet so the other day Chad was helping her learn to jump over it.

Also that night Brooklyn finally figured out how to get her feet turned so she can go down the slide all by herself. Before, she could get to the top of the ladder and since she won't talk much yet she'd sit and go Uh! Uh! Uh! until you came and set her on the slide so she could go down. Here's she is so proud of herself!

Boy Oh Boy! Are we in trouble. Brooklyn has developed this bad stubborn streak, it's unbelieveable! Last night she was refusing to eat dinner and kept throwing her head back. Look at the face she was pulling when I tried to give her a bite! I can't believe it caught it on camera!

Don't worry - after a few minutes she finally gave up and ate.

I didn't intend for this to be so long, hope I kept your attention all the way to the end!

Born on the 4th of July

It's been a while since I've posted, here's what we've been up to lately. Since last weekend was the 4th we went to some fireworks at my Mom and Dads on Thursday. Its pretty neat since they live just down the street from the stadium we can just watch them from their house. Friday is my Mom's birthday so we went to lunch to celebrate. (Lucky to be born on the 4th huh! Her Dad was also born on the 4th and that's actually the day McKenzie was due - wouldn't that have been crazy?) That night we went to Donald and Judy's in Idaho. They live out in the middle of nowhere and have a pretty neat fireworks show every year, Thanks for having us guys! Saturday was the car show and I actually talked Chad into going with me, usually he refuses since he's not a big fan after working there every year but I love going and seeing all the old cars. After the show at the fairgrounds we watched them cruise on main for a while then headed home. Sunday and most of this week we've just been hanging out at home trying to stay cool until we can get our air conditioning put in. Our favorite things are otter pops and ice cream! Brooklyn isn't sure about ice cream cones yet, she mostly digs the ice cream out with her fingers then smashes the cone, it's pretty messy but entertaining!

My little girl is not so little anymore!

I can’t believe it but my little princess is turning 4! It’s shocking how fast 4 years have gone by! She such a fun and sweet little girl to have around, I wish I could keep her like this forever! She gave a us quite a scare when she came into this world, and we are extremely lucky to have her in our family, I thank God for letting her come home with us after the scariest 2 weeks of my life!
We had a birthday party Saturday with some of our family and friends, we got out the pool and let the kids play in the water and had dinner. I have to say that Kenzie is SPOILED!!! She really likes cheerleader stuff lately and her Meahma & Papa (my Mom and Dad) got her a cheerleader outfit, she immediatley put it on and wore it most of the night, that is until she wanted to try the one with the tutu on it. Troy, Holli and Savanah also got a Barbie one and she's been changing between the 3 all weekend. After most of our guests had left Chad and his brothers Donald and Jared got into a water fight. They were running all over soaking each other. It was pretty entertaining! Since Grandma and Grandpa were gone Saturday they came Sunday and to wish Kenzie a Happy Birthday. They got her a game with a floor-mat that teaches her how to move her arms and do cheers. So again she put on her cheerleader outfit and her and Grandma practiced together.

I took so many pictures I couldn't decide which to post so I made them into a slide show.

She is so smart and funny, everyday she says or does something that amazes me or make me laugh. Although she has a definite stubborn streak, she is such a little sweetheart! I wanted to share some of the cute thing she does or has done recently.

*Whenever I go to work or leave at all, when I return she tells me, "I missed you today."

*When we are getting ready to leave in the morning she opens the door for me, "Since she could see my hands are full" and she says "Are we ready to go girls?" to Brooklyn and I.

*She asked Chad at dinner one day, "What did you do today, Daddy?" Well, he does maintenance and started explaining something he’d been working on and she sat and listened as if she understood every word!

*We love American Idol and this past season there was a guy on there with dreadlocks, she’s watching him, then turns to me and says, "Mom, I don’t like his hair, it looks like it has worms it." (Hopefully she keeps that same opinion forever!)

Whaddya think?

So I have been wanting to go get the girls pictures done but I just hate it! I've had too many bad experiences and a lot of times I go back for retakes because something didn't turn out, etc. Its always such a hassle and they cost so much so I decided to dress the girls up and go outside and snap a few myself, here's a few of my favorites, whaddya think?

I took a lot more, they are on a slide show @ http://www.slide.com/r/YFRoPDv2qT_YQVCftKVltIDkQE11Ti0N?previous_view=mscd_embedded_url&view=original

Non-Stop Weekend

Saturday we went to Michelle and Brandon's to help them work on finishing thier backyard. While the guys were working in the backyard we let the kids play in the pool out front. They had so much fun! It was probably the first HOT day we've had this year.
Don't worry her face is not actually in the water! She's such a water baby, she was crawling in it!
The girls love to go to Davin's house to play because there's so many little boy toys that we dont have at home.
Kenzie loved this little computer. It teaches letters and since we've been teaching her letters at home she thought it was so neat to recognize the letters it was asking for and have it tell her what a good job she was doing! The look on her face tells all!Davin was telling me all about the neat-o cards that go in the computer. After the guys got it all tilled up we raked the rocks into piles and loaded them into the back of the 4 wheeler to dump them. All the kids loved going along for the ride.
Sunday was Father's Day so we met up with my Mom and Dad and brothers and had a little picnic and they guys were able to fish while we were there. Here's the girls hanging out with their Daddy. When someone would catch a fish that was too small to keep the girls were throwing them back into the water, it was just too cute to watch them lose them since they were all wet and slimy. It took Brooklyn about 10 tries to get this one back in the water because it kept slipping out of her hands and flopping around so much she couldn't really get ahold of it. I was surprised to see them since do it, especially Kenzie because she's such a girly-girl but she was quite a trooper. She was reeling fish in with her Uncle Alex and a little while later she was bringing me the worms saying' "Look mom its just a little tiny one, isn't it cute?"
As you've probably noticed by now I love to take pictures! I took a lot more of the girls and my family on Sunday, check them out on our family blog @ http://www.kstaylorfamily.blogspot.com/

Just wanted to say Happy Father's Day to all the Daddy's out there. Hope you have a great Day! We are thankful for the wonderful Daddy we have in our family! We love him very much and couldn't have asked for a better one!
